FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) - It has only been 17 days and according to studies a majority of Americans have already given up on their New Years resolutions.
In fact, January 17th is the most common day that resolutions are broken. In light of that, Smokey Bones is offering an alternative for those who have already called it quits.
In a Friday-only event, Smokey Bones will give you a $5 gift certificate for every pair of gently used tennis shoes that are donated.
"We're hoping to have people that are willing to bring their shoes, donate them to a wealthy cause, Nike Reuse a Shoe, and give them to families in need," says Danielle Hamilton, a server at Smokey Bones. "There are a lot of families in need that need shoes out there, we're just trying to help our community a little bit by whatever we can do."
The gift certificate can be used at any time until the date the Promotional Code expires.
